JIBHI /2024
Shot on Leica M6 / Fomapan 100
My love for black & white photography has only grown stronger over time.
With the rapid pace of technology and the demand for instant results, I’ve experimented with many gears and genres. Yet, I find myself yearning to slow down and truly appreciate each shot.
Now, with my dream cameras—the Leica M3 and M6—My focus is on capturing light and contrast in ways that honor the art of analog photography where each frame is a testament to patience, thought, and the magic of the moment.

 Incognito House.

I saw this beautiful house during my trek to Treehouse.

 Valley view from our stay.

Portrait Of Pahari Friends sitting together by the Balo Nath Temple.

These men were working on reconstruction of Balo temple, I took this shot while they were on a short break.

You can't skip the frame when someone gives you a pose and says to click my picture.

Mountains Paths and Life's Journey

While trekking, I found paths that have stood the test of time. Life's journey is similar - sometimes the way is clear, other times it's hidden by the daily hustle.

Portrait of Pahadan Lady in her 80s

Her wrinkles and features reveal the maturity and experience gained over decades, capturing the essence of a life well-lived.

 The Smile of Nature.

I met her five years ago during my previous trip to Jibhi. She collected wood for her livelihood. Meeting her again at the same place,I captured her portrait once more.

 Path/Light

Beautiful light comes from tree to path.

Pattern of the grills & trees as they align to each other. That's how there is a balance between perspective and nature.

 NEW/OLD

Constructions which are more than Century old (right side) and the recent ones (left side) .

I love the contrast and textures of both.

When you break into the boundaries (fence) of Nature that is when you embrace your true self.

Light Of Freedom

I loved the style how he carried his mustache.

 Discover Stories in Every Step

Wherever you go, you meet people and learn from them. Here’s a picture I took with my Leica M6 analog camera of Manoj, a solo traveler.
Manoj creates a sketch at each point he reaches after trekking, as if trying to take a piece of the beautiful, serene landscape with him.
